The Thorndon Society was formed in response to the destruction of a large part of Thorndon for the construction of Wellington’s Urban Motorway. The primary focus has always been to protect and preserve what remains of Thorndon’s heritage and to maintain its residential character. The Society is proud to remain an independant voice for the protection of Thorndon’s Heritage.
